alpine skiing and tobogganing

FROM BEGINNERS TO WORLD CUP STARS

Farchant is just a snowball's throw (3 km) away from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The ski slope "Am Ried" in Farchant is groomed daily good snow conditions provided and offers ideal possibilities, especially for children and beginners. The snowmaking system generally provides enough snow and enables thus perfect skiing fun.

If there is enough snow, night skiing takes place every Friday until 9.30 p.m. The surrounding area is pitch black, all sounds are muted and only the ski slope is brightly lit – that`s pure adventure. A few downhill runs in the floodlights, in between a little après-ski at the little ski hut, get you in the mood for the weekend.

There is a popular toboggan run right next to the ski slope "Am Ried". It's always great fun to whiz down the valley on a toboggan. The toboggan run is approx. 250 meters long and is safe for the little ones.
