VISITING FARCHANT
If you are planning to visit us, there are several options to get to Farchant.
One possibility is to travel by train, since there is easy access from Munich. This scenic drive through the Bavarian countryside is absolutely breathtaking. However, if you prefer to drive, Farchant is also easily accessible via the A95 motorway from Munich. And if you are coming from further away, the nearest airports are Munich, Memmingen and Innsbruck.

Arrival by train
The most convenient way to get to Farchant is by taking the train. Farchant is a small village and the train station is centrally located, so accommodation and restaurants are within walking distance.
The Werdenfelsbahn runs between Munich and Mittenwald with a direct stop in Farchant (one stop before Garmisch-Partenkirchen).

Arrival by car
Coming from Munich, Farchant is located 3 km north of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
- Coming from Munich via the A 95 motorway in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, from the end of the motorway at Eschenlohe onto the federal road 2. Drive through the Oberauer Tunnel and then take the next exit called Farchant.
- From Augsburg - Schongau via the B 17 and B 23 to Oberammergau, on to Oberau. From Oberau continue on the B 2 in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the next exit is Farchant.
- Coming from the south via the Brenner motorway - Innsbruck - Mittenwald - Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Farchant.
Arrival by plane
Arrival at Munich Airport (approx. 110 km), continue with the MVV to Munich main station, from there by train to Farchant. Or arrival at Innsbruck Airport (approx. 60km), Memmingen Airport (approx. 130 km) or Augsburg Airport (approx. 110 km) - it is advisable to continue by bus or train.
